1. Scope and applicable framework

This policy explains how we process personal data provided through the CRITERIO Consultores website.

We process personal data in accordance with Costa Rica’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 8968 and its regulations, without prejudice to any other applicable requirements.

2. Data we collect

We collect only the information you voluntarily provide through the contact form.

  • Name.
  • Company.
  • Email address.
  • Telephone number, if you choose to provide it.
  • Country and company size.
  • Area of interest, main issue and urgency.
  • Your consent and the date it was given.

3. Purposes

We use this information to respond to your inquiry, follow up commercially, prepare a proposal according to the requested scope and route the inquiry to the relevant area.

We will send informational communications or newsletters only when there is separate consent. We do not use data for different purposes without new authorization where it is required.

4. R.AI and technology providers

R.AI uses Google Gemini technology to process the inquiries you write and generate an informational response. The text of your inquiry is sent to Google infrastructure for that purpose.

Do not enter personal, confidential, financial or sensitive information in R.AI. Its responses are informational, may contain errors and do not constitute formal professional advice.

We may use technology providers to operate the website and respond to inquiries. Before using new tools for a new data-processing purpose, we will update this policy.

5. Transfers and retention

Using technology providers may involve processing information outside Costa Rica. Where applicable, we will seek to ensure that such processing is based on consent or another appropriate safeguard.

We retain data only for as long as needed to address the stated purpose, maintain a commercial relationship or meet applicable obligations. We will then delete or de-identify it as appropriate.

6. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, cancellation or objection regarding your personal data. To exercise these rights, write to info@criterio-consultores.com with your full name and a clear description of your request.

We will address requests within the applicable timeframes. If you believe your request was not handled appropriately, you may contact Costa Rica’s Data Protection Agency (PRODHAB).

7. Security, minors and links

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure. No security measure is absolute.

The website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Links to third-party websites are governed by their own practices. Please review their policies before providing them with information.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our tools, processes or applicable rules change. The current version will be published here with its update date.
